I recently purchased my first house, built in 1931! As you can imagine, this house came with no shortage of challenges. But given the history of the home and in the interest of preserving as much original charm as possible, I set out with a plan to restore the original oak hardwood floors! When I purchased the home, the floors were covered in layers of bad decisions (outdoor carpet inside? Yuck!). The floors turned out amazing and I’m so happy to have saved this piece of history!
