My 50+ year old ironing board had a squeak when being opened or closed. Using WD40, I was able to eliminate the irritating sound.

Step 1

Describe problem (irritating squeaking old ironing board)

Step 2

Gather supplies (WD-40, safety goggles, cloth)

Step 3

Step 3. Apply WD-40 to ironing board tracks; wipe excess if necessary

Step 4

Open and close ironing board legs

Step 5

Pat yourself on the back and thank WD-40
