1931 Chevy Rat
Building a 1931 Chevy Rat Rod. Used a few cans of WD-40 for disassembly, cleaning, and restoring parts of the 1931 Chevy. And a few cans of the WD-40 white lithium spray for assembly. You can't just go to the auto parts store or junk yard for parts. WD-40 is a great source for restoration. Disassembly, cleaning, and assembly. Attached are the before and after the build. Also a video of a door latch cleaning. Being a rat rod build, it does not need to be perfect, just functional. I have spent very little time on some of these parts and got exceptional results using the WD-40.

Since you can't just go out and buy new door latches for a 31 Chevy, you just need to restore the old ones. Saturate the parts with WD-40, let it soak in for a few minutes, and start scrubbing. Wire brush and scotch brite type pads work the best. 10 to 15 minutes later, you have a nice functioning door latch again. Follow up by spraying it down with WD-40 white lithium spray. Good as new.
