1967 Dodge D100 Pickup "Budget Restomod"

Here is my 1967 Dodge D100 pickup project that I've been working on since January. Trying to save this old truck while on a tight budget had been a tough challenge though I'm getting incredibly close to finishing it. Bought it off Facebook Marketplace for a few grand and my goal is to build it into a mildly restomodded daily driver with strong emphasis on adapting modern features for safety and performance while keep as much originality as I could. I've since done a complete engine rebuild, rewired the entire truck with new wires and components, as well as adapted many modern safety features including three point seat belts, powered brakes, power steering, and more. Did all the works on my own and I'm proud that it's almost done!

Step 1

Buying the unrestored D100 pickup from Facebook Marketplace, trying to make it run outside the seller's place.

Step 2

The original LA318 engine before being pulled out for a rebuild

Step 3

Cleaning up and patching the interior. Rust removal, ditched the rotten bench seat, and later removed the in cab fuel tank for a 1970 Ford Mustang tank placed under the bed.

Step 4

Engine has been rebuilt, converted to a Holley 4 barrel setup. New cooling system components, all new wiring, powered brakes and power steering conversion using a Volvo S40 steering pump.

Step 5

Redid pretty much the entire dash and all the in-cab electrical components. Custom built new gauge cluster, switch assembly, wiring harness, relay & fuse panel, Stewart Warner Stage 1 tachometer, plus Jeep three point seat belts and Volvo 740GL bucket seats (not pictured)

Step 6

Partially repainted the body, old school hot rod inspired paint job, really can't do much body works due to my limited experience and equipment but the truck is getting incredibly close to being drivable again!
