2000 Dodge dakota
I sadly do not have any photos of the repair in process however I do have a good story. About two years ago I purchased a 2000 dodge Dakota from a neighbor. It had 98,000 miles on it and I got it for $500. Small problem was it got hot and blew a head gasket. So I towed it over to my grandmas and began my assignment. I verified the truck had a blown head gasket and noted some other repairs that would need to be completed before the truck would be road worthy again. I ordered all the parts and began disassembly. All was going smoothly until it was time to unbolt the exhaust manifolds from the heads. The manifold bolts were badly rusted and looked almost unrecognizable. I never would have guessed that I would have gotten one, little alone all of the bolts out without breaking. But I did and it was all thanks to some WD40 and a bit of heat from a acetylene torch. After that it was smooth sailing. Luckily neither the heads or the block were warped or cracked, so once I got past the rough fasteners it was a complete cake walk. I am very grateful for WD40 and can not recommend it enough to my friends and family.
