My brother in law passed away in an accident on this bike. I rebuilt it for/with his daughter to have one day. She is in the pic sitting on my r6. I replaced the front forks, refabbed and welded the subframe mounts on the frame. Replaced the radiator headers subframe headlights speedometer foot pegs brake light clip on handle bars chain re welded one of the motor mounts straightened the neck of the frame that was bent. New rear axle shaft new swing arm she chose the color of the powder coating we did fluorescent shocker yellow it does glow in the dark!! Super cool she helped sand and re shape the tank that was dented. We repainted the tank black to match oem color. The money from this contest would be going to her. but we really just wanted to share our work it was a lot of fun and sadness at the same time. but she will cherish this forever it’s her own custom bike now at 12 years old she was hands on the whole process. We are very proud of her for having the courage to do this. We spent countless hours on this and had a blast doing it. She hopes to become a motor mechanic one day and own her own shop!
