3rd Generation Revival

Plus 10 more
My grandfather purchased this Chevrolet K/5 Blazer new in 1978. It served as the family hauler as well as first car for each of his four daughters. After the last graduated high-school it served on his farm for 6 more years before he parked it in 1997. Twenty four years later in 2021, I decided it was time for its revival. Thanks to my grandpa draining the gas and adding WD-40 to each cylinder before he parked it, the addition of a new battery and fresh gas was all it needed to roar to life. Since then I have slowly been rebuilding it. I have replaced the grille and missing trim, fixed the rear windows, replaced the weatherstripping, fixing the cracked dash with expanding foam and fiberglass resin, a 4" suspension lift, 33x12.50r15 tires, hidden winch, fresh paint on the undercarriage and roof, and many more small fixes. Future upgrades include EFI, a new ignition system, and more cosmetic improvements. Due to the offroad nature of the vehicle and great job it did preventing internal engine corrosion I could not have made it this far without WD-40!
