I love old blacksmithing. Old anvils and vises. I am building my blacksmith set up slowly one piece at a time. I found these old blacksmithing tongs and wanted to clean them up and put them to use. I really enjoy fixing up old tools. This project was basic but very fun. I sprayed the bolt with WD-40 as it was rusted and seized. After i let that soak i used a couple wrenches and was able to get it free. I then wire wheeled all the metal and reassembled. Wiped it down with...you guessed it WD-40. I use this stuff on everything. Love it. These tongs will now last for many years to come, and I plan to use them on many future metal projects. Stoked to have one more tool for my blacksmithing journey. Thanks WD-40 for always making the projects go a little smoother.
