Chop Saw Maintenance ⚙️

I needed to put a new blade on my 14-inch Chop Saw. So first, I made sure that the machine was unplugged. Then I had to secure the arbor lock mechanism, but when I went to loosen and remove the center bolt with the hex wrench I wasn’t able to.

Since I hadn’t used the machine for a couple of months I imagined that there was a little bit of rust causing the problem. So I used some WD-40 to loosen the rusted part and it worked! I sprayed the arbor shaft and the flange surfaces where the blade sits with WD-40 to lubricate the area and make sure the bolt wouldn’t get stuck again.

I installed the new blade on the arbor, followed by the washer and the bolt, tightening the bolt securely. Now my Chop Saw is running smoothly.

Thanks to the Blue and Yellow can for always protecting my machines and keeping my tools working! 💪🏽👨🏽‍🔧
