Dake press restoration
A friend of mine had given me this press for my shop under one circumstance, I had to restore it. With no way of knowing it would take it over 60 hours to sandblast, grind every spec of cast, body fill with titanium putty, prime, paint and make custom parts for it, I went ahead and accepted the deal. I really enjoyed this project based on the stories he had of projects this tool had completed. I contacted Dake for all the replacement parts and they were great to work with. I also had the daisy wheel surface ground to absolutely flat. This is the short story of this repair project. I do have to say I did use a lot of WD40 along the way. I appreciate the great product that it is. I also have a video on YouTube of the assembly of the Dake press. Check out my shop Verta tool. Thanks for your time.
