instead, I applied WD40 White Litium Grease to the metal garage door guide railing tracks, and the motor gear chain, and then opened and closed the doors a few times, and Oila! The garage doors are very quuiet, and since the guides werre all covered with the grease, there are no rattling or metsl-to-metal sounds. Unbelievable that a few sprays of the Litium grease could solve such a problem.
