Hitch Revival

This project involved removal of surface rust from the hitch by cleaning and adding WD 40 to reduce the amount of corrosion from occurring over time.
Step 1: Preparation

Be sure to have all of the necessary tools, rags ,etc before starting the project.
Step 2: Cleaning

Use a soft bristle wire brush to remove the surface rust. Exercise caution not to cause damage to the existing paint. Spray generously with WD 40. Use a rag to remove the rust and corrosion. Repeat this process until no additional rust or corrosion is present.
Step 3: Protection

After no additional rust and corrosion are coming off, add a thorough coating of WD 40 to inhibit future rust and corrosion. Don't forget to install your hitch cover. The project is completed.
