Old Cruiser

This is my 1984 Porsche 944 that I bought as an abandoned project somewhere in Compton California. I am a student of Cerritos college studying automotive repair and I'm about to graduate by the end of my fall season 2024 into 2025. This is actually a challenge that I decided to take. I have history owning two Porsches at the same kind but I have never gotten this far into working on one until last winter or fall somewhere around in 2023. This car has became a huge project as a study subject for all my classes. During that whole year, I have had the engine break apart on the road it took me one summer to repair the engine on my own with what I was taught. Even along the way the car was caught on fire once on the highway just on the way back from college. Even after that I was able to repair the car and drive it back home after it was caught on fire (I took it to the car wash before I took it home). The other small things were replaced suspension work, clutch, electrical a bunch of things I can't even put it all together. Now I final challenge is replacing the motor that is currently in the vehicle. Right now I have another engine block that is waiting to be put together and drop back into the engine bay. This is taking a lot of time due to work financial responsibilities, my wife and two kids. I will soon be finished with this engine most likely by the end of the summer. And when that day comes everyone's going to see this 944 still rolling around in the streets, turning heads, and make me smiles.
