One man’s trash of another man’s treasure
I’ve always loved cars from the 90’s. Specially growing up as a kid during that “you had to be there” era, and seeing the tuner culture everywhere I always told myself one day I would have my own cool car like the people I could see drive by. So when I saw a buddy of mine was going to junk his old daily for having a bad engine and transmission I had to go get it off of him. A whole $500 for a 1997 Honda civic that til this day has been one of the most reliable cars I’ve ever owned. I restored it it from the ground up, once I got the dmv paper work done I got to work, removed the old d16 and threw a B18C type R engine from HMO on it, got it bard legally, did all the body work and paint, restored the interior that was missing piece by piece including the carpet, did a 2000 civic have lift, some carbon fiber parts I found at a local junk yard that I also restored to put on it, added some small cosmetic stuff for taste and some used pets I found on OfferUp like the Mugen spoiler from Japan, type R fenders with side markers. I did all the welding as well for the exhaust, radiator support. All thanks to my father who taught me how to work on cars when I was only 10 years old, I’m 29 now pushing 30 soon. Now I’ve taken that live I’ve always had for restoring cars and use it to restore old or crashed motorcycles and I live every little thing about it. I love a good challenge and being able to say “I did that” is the best feeling ever. God bless 🙌🏼
