In 2022 I purchased a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe that’s Raven Black with Red Interior. It’s all original and was a One Owner Car. In 1967 at Parlett Motor Inc Dealership in Sliver Springs Maryland it was Given away as a Ford Promotional Car that was a showroom demo with 390 miles on it! The man that won it didn’t want it and sold it to a friend. Madison Booth Dunlap owned it until he was 95 years old, He was an Army Corp Vet and worked his later years at John Hopkins University. I purchased it with the intention to fix it and keep it running along with trying to keep it mostly original. After it was a daily driver for me for a few months I sadly discovered it had frame damage in the front frame rails so I took it off the road for a bit. I dissembled the front end myself, removed the 289 engine & C4 transmission, removed the interior and got it ready for our good friend Jason Davis at Davis Customs to do his metal magic! After I provided all the metal…In 28 days he brought it back to life and made the front end structurally safe again! It has all new front frame rails/apron assemblies, core support, upper and lower cowl, floor pans, toe boards, along with various other metal repairs. I’ve been slowing putting it back together when i’m not selling classic car parts at my main job. So far i’ve coated the floor in a protective rust preventive, Installed Kilmat Sound Insulation. now it’s time to get the windshield in, Install the new carpet, re-install the seats/dash trim then the front end. I plan on getting new front fenders and also I recently picked up a roller 302 engine to rebuild. With these winnings It would help me get this car back on the road soon so i can do what I promised..
Which is take my Girlfriend to somewhere special in the car that we started dating in and propose to her. She’s a car girl as well with multiple classics. I have a 66 VW Beetle and she has a 72 Super Beetle. My Father and I restored that 72 Super beetle and she purchased it from us…that’s how we met. It’s like a hallmark story haha anyways
