Replacing a Ball Joint? Sure... How hard can it be?

I knew something was awry when my mower didn't want to steer.. Hmmm, realizing one tire was horizontal & being pushed by the others while tearing up the lawn? This was going to be either expensive, an adventure, or both! Pickup/Delivery for the repair alone floored me, let alone the actual repair so let the adventure begin....

Step 1

After ordering the correct part and releasing the first nut/bolt thanks to WD-40, I thought I can do this... until I got to the other end. That thing was STUCK! In the YouTube video, the old part came off like the guy was unscrewing a lightbulb. Ha! This was the start of my new adventure.

Step 2

Tight area? Check Rust? Check Having to use an open-ended wrench that's too short for any torque due to space constraints? Check Having it fall off when trying to whack it with a hammer again and again? Check Husband watching? Check!!!! WD-40 Finally breaking the seal after complete saturation & walking away for a few hours - and maybe spraying about 1/2 the can on it out of frustration? CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!

Step 3

I NEVER could have pulled this off (literally LOL) without WD-40. Saved my budget & dignity. Thank you WD-40! Saved hundreds $$$$.
