Resurrected Race Bike
Purchased (used) a non functional broken down 18 year old street bike with an engine that wouldn’t turn over, by starter button nor by hand/wrench, to turn into a competitive race bike at sanctioned, closed course competition, events. WD-40 was used to clean dirty exterior (make shine like new again) and (still used) to help keep wheels clean of chain lube, as well as other road grime. Internally, WD-40 was used inside of the engine, as a lubricant, to hone (provide new cross hatch’s) the Nickacil cylinder bore’s with an Aluminum Oxide flex hone and clean up years worth of street riding abuse/wear and some vertical scoring. Now, 3/5 through our 1st full season together, we’re winning races, podium finishes, with multiple clubs, and leading a points championship series, with a bike that’s looking great and an engine that is strong and runs good as new! THANKS WD-40!
