RX-7 Totaled?
Growing up I always had an obsession with cars. Which led me to the discovery of the Mazda RX-7, specifically the fc3s models. Therefore, throughout school I made that my dream car, a white TX-7 fc. When I had an opportunity to purchase one, I jumped on it. However, my fascination with cool cars also ties in with going fast. And one day I slid off the road and hit a tree right in one of the hardest places to repair, the rear quarter. I thought it was totaled, however after a closer inspection there was hope. With a purchase of a rear quarter panel off of a previously wrecked car, as well as a door from another, we were ready to begin. We took the mangled quarter panel off to reveal a dent in the toughest part of the frame. With a lot of beating and banging the frame was back to where it needed to be. WD-40 was a big help taking off most of the bolts holding the door and front fender on a 35 year old car that has never been taken apart at such extent. With a lot of meticulous adjusting and fixing, it is now back to a flush body with every part fitting as it should. All done from our car port and driveway. It is still not completely finished, all that is left is paint and a little tlc to get it back to its former glory.
