Sherbertlet 1972 C10
Sherbertlet is the first vehicle I've owned, serving as my daily driver and getting me to and from work. Along the way, it has helped me make many friends and taught me numerous valuable lessons. I work on the truck more and more each day, as the improvements add up quickly. I take great joy in showcasing the truck and brightening people's days, just as it does for me.
Step 1
This is the first vehicle I've ever owned, purchased as my daily driver. While it was a solid truck to begin with, I quickly recognized its potential. At 18 years old, I had big dreams for what this truck could become. It's equipped with a mild 350 SBC engine and a reinforced TH350 transmission.
Step 2
I began with small improvements and basic maintenance while driving the truck, adding new, shiny parts here and there. I enjoyed the truck immensely, relishing the opportunity to meet new friends and bring smiles to people's faces just by driving it.
Step 3
Working on this truck has imparted numerous life lessons, one of the most important being that there's never enough WD-40. Additionally, I've gained a deep understanding of the hobby itself.
Step 4
I gradually made more significant modifications to the truck, taking it out with friends and enjoying every moment. The truck even won my first trophy, placing in the top 30 out of 80 entries at my first real car show. Little does anyone know, the truck is far from finished.
Step 5
I ended up blowing the transmission in my truck, Sherbertlet. This required me to tear it out and have it rebuilt, improving it beyond its original state. While working on it, I took the opportunity to clean and upgrade various components. Now, with the shift kit and other new parts, the truck drives amazingly and is noticeably quicker.
