squeaky wheel
fix a stiff and squeaky steerng wheel
Step 1: Listen Closely
Turn the steering wheel slowly to pinpoint the exact location of the squeak
Step 2: Targeted Spray
Using the WD-40's straw, apply a very short burst directly to the suspected friction point. Avoid spraying indiscriminately.
Step 3: Work It In
Turn the steering wheel back and forth repeatedly to allow the WD-40 to penetrate the area causing the noise.
Step 4: Wipe Excess
Immediately wipe away any drips or overspray with a clean rag to prevent attracting dirt or creating a slippery surface.
Step 5: Test Drive
Take a short, slow drive to see if the squeak is gone or reduced.
Step 6: Repeat Sparingly:
If the squeak persists, try another precise application. Remember, WD-40 is a temporary fix and overuse isn't ideal.
