The "Tiger Cub Initiative" By Scooter's Garage/SGR-Performance

We started what we call "The Tiger Cub Initiative" at my shop Scooter's Garage / SGR-Performance to bring to life various performance and restoration parts to the market for short deck Pontiac engines where none previously existed. Think Pontiac 265 and 301. To add to that, we've incorporated engineering/reverse engineering where our parts can be used on any Pontiac engine from 265 - 455 and even aftermarket combination like the MR1/IAII. We've made 3 new intake manifolds The "Tiger Cub I, IIFI and IIIFI", billet accessory brackets, modified timing pointers, valve covers and headers. These are hand made from a combination of many things from 3D scanning and printing, to hand laying and shaping fiberglass to make molds or tooling pieces that did not previously exist. We even have a turbo adapter mount that allows use of the factory 301 turbo setup on any intake manifold. We've currently pushed the 301 to near 500hp in NA form and we are currently looking to go higher. In design phase of a turbo and fuel injection setup with engineering worked in to be able to adapt to any Pontiac engine. This allows for modernization and brings a wide spectrum of new and exciting parts to the market for Pontiac enthusiasts that we will look to eventually take to other brands.
Step 1: Hand making the "Tiger Cub II FI" intake manifold

Plus 1 more
This is a brief view of the Tiger Cub II FI intake for short deck Pontiac engines coming to life. We started by 3D scanning the pattern from a larger engine. Then made silicone molds of the runners interior using WD40 as a mold release. Cut everything down to size, then hand laid and shaped fiberglass around everything to make a manifold that did not previously exist. The same process was used for the Tiger Cub I and the III FI intakes.
Step 2: The Tiger Cub Bracket Set

Patterned after a factory set, we incorporated engineering into this bracket set to not only work with the Pontiac 265 and 301, but also with the bigger engines. So they will work and properly position alternator and power-steering for any 265-455 Pontiac V8. They are also made from a lighter stronger billet aluminum for strength and weight savings.
